Need a pick me up?

Well I have one for you! Here is a sneak peak of a new TAC stamp set coming soon! This set is called Toot my Horn! I made 2 super simple and easy cards using this set!

All of the tires in the set are actually flowers but the possibilities are endless! The buttons are probably my favorite look! :)
Let me know what you think! Thanks for stopping by!
(Quick tip....use Liquid Lacquer for the windows. And if you take your Clear Stardust Gel Pen and fill in the windows first, then add the liquid lacquer....it gives it a really fun, sparkly look!)

A 3x3 card and envelope!

Recently, I was having a discussion with my friend Jen. She is in search of 3x3 envelopes to buy in bulk. We searched and searched and made a few calls and still couldn't find anything. (If you know of some place, let me know!)

Anyway, while searching, I found several great tutorials on how to make them. They really are super easy! So I made a quick little set just to try them out! Here is the result....

This took me like 2 minutes! Super easy and you know these cost like $2 + at the store. I bet this cost me pennies!

Thanks for stopping by!!

A big Hello!

Today I have a preview of a new Hostess set from TAC. This will be in the new Serendipity coming out very soon! I have a friend who said she is not a fan of this set and so my goal is to try to change her mind. (Hi friend!)

I know we are past the holidays but I had to use one of the stamps that goes along with this set. Here is a Christmas Hello.....

It is a handy set because it comes with several stamps for the middle of the "O".

For this next card I kept the "O" blank and just added a button! How cute is that?

So I hope I changed my friends mind! We will see! Let me know what you think!

Valentines....really?

If you are like me, you don't even know that Christmas has happened yet. I mean...really...it went by fast! So on to the next holiday right? And that would be Valentines Day! I played with my new Cricut today and made a heart shaped card, added a couple layers, some faux stitching and here you have it.....

These stamps are from TAC's "I Heart You" set! I stamped the background in Versamark and then UTEE'd like 3 times to get the chunky, wet look! The faux stitching is with my new white gel pen that beats ALL gel pens! It is so thick and bright white! Love it!

Hope you like my card today! Let me know what you think!

Be Merry!

Hope all is well with everyone! If you are like me, you are NOT ready for Christmas! I still have to wrap and I just don't enjoy that part!

I had to stop in today with one last holiday card. This one uses the Build a Snowman from TAC!

Hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas! Remember Jesus is the reason for the season!!

I am going to leave you with a Christmas Poem....

The Real Reason

Excitement and joy are filling the air;
The lights add special decor.
We're shopping for Christmas gifts everywhere,
But are gifts what Christmas is for?

The wreaths and the trees and the parties
Aren't what we need to convey;
It's the birth of our Savior, Jesus,
The real reason for this holiday.

By Karl and Joanna Fuchs
May God bless you and your family this Christmas Season!

I made one for myself too! I will have to post it sometime! :) So cute!

Another snowflake card...

I realized today that I have made multiple cards using the retired TAC set called snowflakes! They are just the best snowflake set around! You know when I get stuck on something I just can't quit.....so here is my latest card!

This More Mimi tag from TAC just needed to be used! And I am loving the non-traditional Christmas colors! Hope you like it too! I always love to hear what you think!

Thank You Ever So Much

I have had these stamps forever and haven't ever pulled them out! I thought maybe it was high time! :)

So here is a fun card I made tonight!

These are all Hero Arts stamps! So fun! The paper and the ribbon is Raspberry Fizz from PTI!

I just had to use these colors to throw something "Springy" in today! It is so cold here in Kansas! I love the snow but I am already ready for some warm! :)

Hope your Friday is a good one!

Mushrooms...

I just love mushroom stamps! Although I don't actually own any, I still love them! I am on the hunt! If you know of a super cute mushroom stamp out there, send me a link!

My WOSFF, Barb, knows of my passion! SO, she drew me her a mushroom she knew I would love! I am just convinced Barb needs to start her own stamp line! She is amazing!

I wanted to save her drawing so I added it to a card! Of course no one will ever get this card! I am going to hang it on my wall!

I used PTI's Ripe Avacado paper, Pure Poppy Ribbon and Polka Dot Basic stamp in this card! the sentiment is from TAC's Dear Friend! I did add a little color to the mushroom top with a red colored pencil and gamsol!

Hope you like my card and Barb's fabulous artwork! Thanks for stopping by today!

March of the Snowman Blog Hop

I received an email recently from my sweet friend Melisa, asking me to be apart of a "Snowman Blog Hop"! How could I say no?

I collect snowmen and love putting them out for Christmas! I did realize, though, that I don't have very many snowman stamps! I can't wait to check out the rest of the stops on this Snowman Blog Hop, just to get some more inspiration and see what stamps I can't live without!

When you are done checking out my creations, go to the end of this post and click on the links to take you to the other stops in this hop!

This first card turned out so fun! I love the snow background and of course, the nesties!

This card is my favorite! I love the antique look! And of course the red and kraft....if you follow my blog, you know what I am talking about! ;)

Here is one more ridiculously simple card! White cardstock, stamp, black pen red pen. That easy! But kinda cute I think!

Hope this gives you some ideas for your own holiday cards! Now don't forget to check out these other stops on the Snowman Blog Hop!

Just sayin' hi!

Here is a quick card today! I used some patterned paper that I thought I didn't like! I was going to put it in the "sale" pile! When I looked closer I realized I just had to try it out!

Super easy with white Tombow pen stitching and some red vinyl Thickers! What do you think?

Stay tuned for...

Hope to see you December 5th for some amazing Holiday project ideas!! :)

Just a little Joy!

Had to share a few things here today that make paper crafting so much fun!

First off....nesties! Love them! This card is just two layers using the biggest nestie from Labels 1. Then I folded a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 whit card base and attached it to the back.

Second fun thing....PTI cardstock and matching ink! This is Ripe Avocado cardstock and the image is stamped with the matching Ripe Avocado Palette Ink! And the button matches perfectly doesn't it? This is the most fantastic 110lb paper ever!! (if you are a paper junky like me....you know what I mean!)

And then the stamp! This is from TAC's Joy of Christmas! I just love those bold images that can make a super fast and simple card! I colored in the white space with a Clear Gelly Roll pen and it makes for some fantastic sparkle!

I thought these would make great little cards for gifts or even for place settings at a Holiday dinner! Possibilities are endless!

Hope your day is a good one! Thanks for stopping by!

In the mood for polka dots...

What's new you say? OK, I know I always am. So much that I had to use a little PTI today! Brought to you by PTI's Polka Dot Basics. I love set set more than my luggage! (Yes I am channeling Pioneer Woman!) It is SO fantastic! Polka dots just add so much and this set makes it so much easier!

Here is just a quick and simple card I made today using PTI and TAC. The Running Stitches are from TAC, along with the Merry Christmas sentiment. The polka dots and that fantastic Pure Poppy button are from PTI. What a great combo!

Yes, I know I am back to red and brown! I can't help it! My favorite colors! Hope you like it! Have a great day!

Let It Snow

It's not really snowing here....I just got a new stamp!

I have seen this one in The Angel Company catalog and just really never thought much about it, until one day I realized that I could use it! Now I am so happy to have it! It is very versatile for it being just one stamp in a set! You can emboss it, color it, make it vintage, make it sparkle....on and on! So here are two examples of its possibilities!

This first one I stamped in Burnt Umber and cut off the border. Clean and simple! (Yes I did distress again...what is the world coming to?)

This one I stamped in Versamark on vellum and then I used American Crafts Zing Embossing Powder and heated it up! Wow does that stuff make an incredible image! It is so nice and thick! It think this image looks perfect embossed!

So let me know what you think? If you have this stamp, send me a link so I can see your cards!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great Monday! (Can you believe it's Thanksgiving in just a few days? What happened to November?)

11/21/09

Another Holiday card...

This was a fun card to make! Just a few snowflakes, some white Versamagic and some fun red accents! I found these red glitter balls at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. I just love them!

The glitter strips through the middle are made from Wonder tape and Martha Stewart glitter! The "wintery" look is so much fun!

The sentiment is from Vintage Santa again. One more fantastic sentiment from that set!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Birthday Card

I realize that I never make enough Birthday cards. So I thought I would pull out my favorite Happy Birthday sentiment and make a card!

I just love this 7/8" Olive green double satin ribbon! It makes the yummiest bows! Between this and the Cuttlebug folder, I think it makes a fun elegant card!
What do you think?

11/19/09

Thickers...my favorite!!

Here is a fun card using NO stamping at all! I love this patterned paper! It a piece out of Nana's Nursery from DCWV. It comes complete with lots of bling! Then I added my favorite stickers of all.....THICKERS! They are fantastic alphabet stickers that come in all shapes and colors and textures! These are just simple white foam!

I took my Tombow white pen and added the stitch line around the circle. So simple and easy and it turned out so FUN!

Hope you like it! Have a great day!
