A new favorite....

OK, so I know I say everything is my "new favorite" but how can you not? There are just so many fantastic stamp sets out there! So here is a new one on my fav's list....

Sketched Scrolls from TAC. This is the Stamp of the Month for October. It is $9.75 with a $30 purchase!

It makes FANTASTIC backgrounds, inspired by my Angel friend Stacy! This set is truly a keeper!

Thanks for stopping by today! Let me know what you think! I love reading your comments!

Hope you are having a great week!

What a busy fall!!

So here is the reason why I have been MIA lately......

We have been having so much fun this fall and staying busier than ever! This is a rare photo-op with B and I! I am usually the one behind the camera but this time I just handed the camera to my husband and said TAKE IT! :)

We had a hayride and bonfire this weekend with family and it was such a good time! So hopefully now things will slow down! I promise to get back to you very soon with some regularly scheduled programing! Thanks so much for sticking with me! :) See you soon!

A simple Hello!

Just another quick and simple card today! I found a couple of these supplies at CKC. Got an AMAZING Deal on the Fiskars Upper Crest punch....yes only $6! WOW! The felt flowers are from CKC too....I think like 6 in a package for $1? Cheap! I love cheap. Cheap is happy!

Here is my cheap and happy card....

The alphabet set is one I picked up from clearance at Joanns.com. So cute! I love how the letters are some upper and some lower! I colored in the letters with the Clear Gelly Pen again. So hooked on that thing!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a good one!

I {heart} Fall!

Although we really haven't had a "Fall" here in Kansas, I still love this time of year! Football, hayrides, pumpkin patch trips, sweatshirt and jeans weather! Probably my most favorite thing, though, is the colors of fall! I love to see the leaves changing and falling! My house is surrounded my trees (not a fan of raking!) and the colors are amazing!

I found a fun stamp set recently and couldn't wait to break it out! Just a fun and simple card for this fantastic time of year!

The picture does not do the colors justice but I used several colors on the leaves and even added some clear gelly pen on the stems. Gives it a little bling!

Hope your Fall is finding you inspired and healthy! Have a great day!

A little Halloween...

So maybe you know I am not the biggest fan of Halloween. I dress up my kids and we go Trick-or-Treating but that is the extent of it. And I really don't make Halloween cards. Actually my first ever Halloween card is published in The Angel Company base catalog. I thought that was pretty cool. It is the one with the hedgehog ghost. So technically this card today is my 2nd Halloween card ever. And it is in honor of my good friend Barb. Love you man! ;)

I really tried to go spooky with it. I did. I used the new download paper from TAC. (Yes I did have to use polka dots...I couldn't go too far from normal!) I plugged it in to my Photoshop Elements...turned it orange and just felt inspired, I guess! So I frayed the ribbon and distressed a little (gasp!) and then I went and stuck a cute ghost on there. Sorry Barb. No macabre here. But I tried! :)

Hope you like it!

Some more Christmas....

It is a great time to think about making your Christmas cards! If you start now and work on a few at a time, you can get a good stash going!

Here is a quick and simple one I made for my Stamp-A-Stack!

Moonlight White Versamagic works great for the snowflakes in the background! It really pops off of the Scarlet cardstock!

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

It feels like Christmas!

Well, not totally...there is no snow yet! BUT it is freezing here in Kansas. I just got back from CKC in KC! Let me tell you how cold it was there. We went shopping at Legends next to the race track....yep....COLD! There is already that "Holiday" feel in the air! I LOVE it! I am so a cold weather girl!

Just wanted to drop in here with a Christmas card today! I just love this card! So bright and fun! And easy! :) (This is one of my Stamp-A-Stack cards from this weekened!)

The Leapfrog Bazzill matches TAC's Landscape Palette ink perfectly (even tho it doesn't look like in the picture!) and I love it mixed with the Scarlet red! And of course Stickles for some sparkle!

Are you ready for the holidays? Well, it looks like they are coming in a hurry! Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great Monday!

Fall Invitations

I got a call the other day from a friend on PTO at my dd's school. She asked if I would be willing to make some invitations for a Bus Drivers Appreciation Breakfast. My MIL has driven bus for 30 years and so I just couldn't say no!

We quickly picked out "fall" theme for the breakfast and I got busy. You know what I picked for my invites right? Yep, that wonderful pumpkin I love so much! Now, 17 pumpkins later, my hand is tired but I still love the pumpkin!

I used colored pencils and mineral oil on some and OMS on the others. They definitely turned out very rich in color! I used 3 layers of color on the pumpkin again and I just love how they turned out!

Here are some of them waiting in line to be assembled!

And here is the finished pile! What a fun and fast project!

I hope the bus drivers will feel special and know how much we appreciate them! They are wonderful people making sure our kids get to where they need to go everyday!
And to my dd's bus driver....Thanks Vicky, for all you do!

Me techniquey? No not me!

If you follow my blog, you know I am not really into all the different techniques of stamping! Don't get me wrong....there are so many amazing ones! I just think that I am not good at them! I do not distress. I don't rip. I don't sand or edge distress. (OK on a few occasions I do.) My cards are simple and clean, and it is hard for me to go outside the lines sometimes! I do want you to know that I do try to get outside the lines!

One thing about me that some have found shocking, is that I do not own a brayer. Well...until a couple weeks ago. I went to a FAB meeting with some FAB girls and they taught me that I needed a brayer. We made a card very similar to this one, so this idea of the leaves is not my own but the card I threw together with Heather's inspiration! Thanks Heather!!!

How easy is this? It took no time at all and the brayer just gave that paper such a great look!
Now all I need to do is learn some more ways to use it! Wait...would I be techniquey if I did that?

OK so that's it for today! Have a good one!
(Oh a little shout out to my BFF Jen! Happy Birthday chick! Hope it's a good one!!)

Cards we wish we didn't have to make...

I always hate making sympathy cards! I wish there was no such thing! I do like the fact that a card can bring a note of friendship or love during a hard time though!

Here is a card just for that reason....

Thanks for coming by today! Are you watching Grey's Anatomy tonight? It is sooo good! Let me know what you think!
