Mandatory Meeting!!

This latest MFT Release has the most adorable set called Get Down to Business.  I love all the images...coming from on office supply nerd....so when I stamped them all out and got them colored....I had to use every single one of them.

I did a quick scored background and then added a sentiment and then using press n seal, glued all those pieces down at once.  I was so fortunate to spend the day with my craft friend, Lori Craig, yesterday and she did a little video of this technique.....but don't laugh at us whispering and laughing and also listening to John Michael Montgomery.  lol!

I actually pulled out the Copics for this.  It was kinda fun!  I'm thinking about pulling them out again soon!  :)

Hope you are having a great day!  Thanks for coming by!

Hello {Concord & 9th}...

logo_home

Today is my last guest post with Concord & 9th.  I love their stamps and dies and the people! Angie and Greg are the nicest and so fun to work with!

I have a quick card to share using the  Birdie Banner Bundle.  That is an adorable stamp set of banners and birdies and a 2nd alphabet set that coordinates.

First, I stamped the banner strings and cute little banners, enough to spell out Hello Friend.  I used the solid image to stamp the rainbow colors on each banner.  The clouds in the background were an after thought, so I masked off each banner and then added in some Copic Airbrushing.  I actually got to use a real air brush system with an air compressor.  SO fun!  Thanks to a crafty day with my friend, Lori Craig....the Copic Queen herself!  :)

Last, I colored a little birdie and added it on to the card.  I popped the card front up on foam and that is it!  This set has so many possibilities and I can't wait to play some more!

Thanks so much for joining me for my Concord & 9th posts.  Hope you have enjoyed them! Thanks for stopping in!  Have a great day!

More PTI March Release...

I am stopping in with a couple more cards for the March PTI Release.  I meant to post them sooner but we have been gone for Spring Break.  Its been a fun week, keeping the kids busy and entertained. Now I finally get some craft room time!

My first card uses the new set called Splits: Celebrate...

I masked of the top and stamped across the bottom of the sentiment in one line and then added some copic coloring to highlight the ribbon.  This makes for a super simple, one layer card.

This next card features the new set called Fancy Pants Sentiments...

IMG_2902

I heat embossed the sentient and the flourish frame on the vellum die cut.  Then added it to the watercolored card front.  Super simple and fast for a fun birthday card.

Hope you have had a great week!  We are off for one more Spring Break activity today and then we are going to get ready for Easter!

Hope you have a blessed weekend!  Thanks for stopping in!

MFT Sketch time!

It's time for a new sketch challenge over at MFT.  I have a card to share today using some watercoloring and embossing.

MFT March 2016

I recently saw my friend, Amy, use some watercolored stripes that were so cute, so I thought I would add that element in to this card.  I created another layer with some mixed watercolors and then a top layer of vellum, embossed with the wreath and image.  I layered them all up and the lifted the edges for some dimension.

Here is a look at this weeks sketch...

Stop over to the MFT blog to play along and to see the rest of the DT's samples.  Thanks so much for stopping in today!

Creative Construction...

Hey there, crafty friends!  I am stopping in today with the next round of Creative Construction over at My Favorite Things.  This week the challenge is Buttons.  I pulled out Blueprints 18 and used the little button die to create this...

MFT March 2016

I did a little watercoloring with some rainbow colors and then cut a button out of each one.  I used the Wonky Stitched Rectangles to create the card front and stamped out the sentiment from Whimsical Greetings.

MFT March 2016

Super simple!  Stop over to the MFT Blog to see more about the buttons!  Thanks so much for stopping in!  :)

Concord & 9th hello...

logo_home

Hey there!  I am back today with another Concord & 9th creation.  This time I am using the new Bouquet Die and, of course, that gorgeous Sophisticated Script stamp set.

IMG_2893

I did a little bit of watercoloring first with my Zig markers and then used that cut out the top of the Bouquet Die flowers with that same paper.

I put the flowers out on the card base....

Untitled

Then I took a big piece of Press n Seal and picked them all up at once....

Untitled

Flipping it over, I added Tombow Mono Liquid Glue dots to the back of all the flowers....

Untitled

And then flipped it over right on to the card base.  SO much easier to do this all at one time!

Untitled

Then I trimmed up the edges to make the card front...

Untitled

I added it to the card base with some fun foam...

Untitled

Last, I heat embossed the "hello" on a vellum banner and attached it to the card front.

This Bouquet die is so pretty as one piece but so much fun to see those flowers separately.

It's Spring Break here at my house so we have lots of fun activities going on.  The kids made a Spring Break list of stuff to do, so it looks like we will be going to the park (a lot) and playing lots of games this next week!

Hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks for coming by!
